LAUNDRY

When properly attached, Vaatelaastari can withstand normal washing.
Allow the glue to harden for at least 3 days before the first wash. The longer you wait before the first wash, and between washes, the stronger the patch sticks.
You can wash the textile at 40 degrees and dry it in the tumble dryer.
Do not use dry cleaners or detergents that contain fabric softener. Avoid using bile soap, washing vinegar and washing new textiles in the same machine as they can soften the Vaatelaastari glue.
Remember to match the washing instructions of the patch and the garment!

ATTENTION!

Due to its size, the textile patch is not recommended for children under 3 years of age.
The garment patch holds best on old textiles that have been washed several times.
Basic-Vaatelastari is non-elastic cotton. It is best suited for inelastic textiles. The Basics are currently out of production, but they are still sold in the online store and at some retailers. Previous production batches also have flexible organic cotton. The product is slightly more sensitive to chemicals than cotton, but it is more flexible, e.g. on the knees
Made from flexible recycled polyester, the patches are versatile and also suitable for many types of underwear.
Reflective clothing patches are made of reflective fabric. However, they are not certified reflectors.
Chemicals found in clothes and detergents, such as fabric softener, can affect Vaatelaastar’s washing time.
A large number of different chemicals are used in clothing, and they all work in different ways. However, we do not respond to chemicals with chemicals, but Vaatelaastari are made as organic as possible.
Slight abrasion of the edges is part of the product’s characteristics. The product has a characteristic smell that is harmless and disappears in a few hours.
The patch cannot be reattached. But after washing, you can try to press the edges, iron them and dry them in the dryer.

TIP

A small crease in the corner or edge of the patch helps to remove Vaatelaastar from the backing paper.
In a hurry? Place the patch on the garment, press with your hand and get ready!
If you want, you can cut the patch to the appropriate size and shape. Avoid sharp corners and leave enough adhesive surface. Cutting may reduce washability slightly.
If you want to remove the cast, pull it off gently. Any traces of glue can usually be removed with warm water and soap.
Please note that removing Vaatelaastar can leave traces on the most delicate textiles

How to use vaatelaastari:

1. Release the fabric from the backing paper, not the paper from the fabric. Avoid touching the adhesive surface.

2. Attach the exposed adhesive surface to the garment and carefully peel off the backing paper, while pressing the patch into place.

3. Attach the patch by rubbing, preferably against a hard surface for at least one minute. To help, you can use a blunt object, for example a spoon. Pay particular attention to the edges.

4. The textile is patched and ready to use!
